In order to realize the vision and mission of Governor Sugianto Sabran namely Central Kalimantan BERKAH, Central Kalimantan Provincial Government through the Office of Housing, Settlement and Land Areas of Central Kalimantan Province continues to improve the welfare of its people especially those who have low incomes and live in less livable homes.

The Central Kalimantan Provincial Office of Housing, Settlement and Land Areas in coordination with the SNVT (Specific Non Vertical Work Unit) for the Housing Provision of Central Kalimantan Province, has carried out the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) activity by carrying out repairs / rehabilitation activities for residents’ houses that are categorized as unfit for living to improve their quality, therefore worth living in.

The purpose and results of the BSPS are the realization of livable homes, as well as their assistance on target, on procedure, on time, on utilization and accountable.

The activity to improve the quality of community housing in Central Kalimantan was carried out by carrying out repairs to the roof, floor and walls depending on the damage contained in the residents’ houses.

BSPS is carried out by the recipient community in a self-help manner by forming a group of recipients of assistance in a mutual and sustainable manner with the existing budget. In the process of physical construction of houses, beneficiary communities will be accompanied by the Field Facilitator Staff (TFL). Each TFL is responsible for assisting 30 beneficiaries.

“We want those who get housing renovation assistance or BSPS to become better occupants and improve their life quality even though the Covid-19 outbreak is happening,” said Sugianto Sabran.

This activity was welcomed by the community because activities such as house repairs can be felt directly by the community as a tangible form of attention of the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government to the people who of course need such assistance. (win/eka/dew/boy/may/nov/translated by feb)
