The Public Communications Team of Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force referring to the Central Covid-19 Task Force, said that WHO had issued guidelines for conducting rapid antigen test independently. “Rapid antigen test is a test using the swab method and taking samples from the human respiratory tract,” explained the Task Force Team in a press release, Thursday (24/3/2022).

Rapid antigen testing in Indonesia is still carried out by professionals because testing using the swab method requires caution. “However, if you do it independently, then note that we are reliable enough to do it. In addition, we also need to pay attention to the management of medical waste,” the Task Force Team urged.

In addition, the Task Force Team also urges the public to choose rapid antigen test kits that have official distribution permit from the Ministry of Health to ensure the quality and accuracy of the tests.

Furthermore, in today’s press release, the Covid-19 data in Central Kalimantan was conveyed as follows: there were 77 people for confirmation cases (25 people in Palangka Raya, 2 people in Katingan, 3 people in East Kotawaringin, 4 people in West Kotawaringin, 3 people in Lamandau , 1 person in Seruyan, 6 people in Pulang Pisau, 5 in from Kapuas, 4 people in Gunung Mas, 1 person in South Barito, 20 people in East Barito, 1 person in North Barito, and 2 people in Murung Raya), so from 56209 people increased to 56286 people.

There were 167 people recovered (95 people in Palangka Raya, 5 people in East Kotawaringin, 4 people in West Kotawaringin, 5 people in Lamandau, 2 people in Sukamara, 3 people in Seruyan, 3 people in Pulang Pisau, 5 people in Kapuas, 8 people in Gunung Mas, 7 people in Barito South and 30 people in East Barito), so from 53396 people to 53563 people.

There was a decrease of 91 people under treatment, so from 1159 people to 1068 people. And, there was one death case in Pulang Pisau, so from 1654 people to 1655 people, with a case fatality rate (CFR) of 2.9%.

Regarding Bed Occupancy in Hospitals or Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR), Intensive Beds decreased in Bed Occupancy (5.26%), so from 39.47% to 34.21%, where Murung Raya had BOR above 50%. Meanwhile, Isolated Beds did not change in Bed Occupancy (0.00%), so that it remained at 10.29%, in which there were 2 regencies with BOR above 50%, namely Murung Raya Regency and Gunung Mas Regency.

Meanwhile, regarding the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,036,104, the realization of Dose I Vaccination for Central Kalimantan Province has reached 95.75%. All regencies/municipality have achieved above 70% of Dose I Vaccination. (ran/transl.feb)
