People are Asked to Continue Complying with Health Protocols although Travel Regulations are Relaxed

PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communications Team of Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force delivered a press release regarding the latest data on COVID-19 cases in Central Kalimantan Province on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Press release today conveyed that the Central COVID-19 Handling Task Force appealed to the public to continue complying with health protocols when traveling, even though the Government had begun to relax the travel regulations.

The safe behaviors such as ensuring that the body is in a fit condition before the trip, and if it is not well, a person should postpone the trip. Then, for new close contacts, immediately do the test. In addition, always prepare PeduliLindung application when departing and fulfilling the applicable travel conditions.

Furthermore, while traveling, people are asked to adhere to 3M’s health protocols (wearing masks, keeping a distance, and washing hands with soap), are not allowed to talk during the trip, to eat and drink less than 2 hours trip.

On the other hand, because now the seats in the travel mode of transportation are no longer far apart, the transportation provider is required to provide 3 rows of empty seats as a quarantine area for passengers who are indicated to be symptomatic or a temporary self-isolated and carry out strict supervision of the implementation of health protocols during the trip.

Arriving at the destination, people are required to monitor the condition of their body. If they feel the symptoms of COVID-19, they must immediately do independent test and self-isolation.

In addition to this, data on handling COVID-19 in Central Kalimantan Province which was collected until Wednesday afternoon (23/03/2022) at 03.00 p.m., is as follows:

(1) There were 87 people added for confirmation cases, (23 in Palangka Raya), (12 in Katingan), (2 in East Kotawaringin), (4 in West Kotawaringin), (6 in Lamandau), (2 in Seruyan), (2 in Pulang Pisau), (6 in Kapuas), (1 in Gunung Mas), (1 in South Barito) , (26 in East Barito), and (2 in North Barito), bringing the total number to 56,209 people;

(2) There were 99 people recovered, (49 in Palangka Raya), (2 in Katingan), (5 in West Kotawaringin), (4 in Lamandau), (1 in Sukamara), (6 in Seruyan), (8 in Pulang Pisau), (7 in Kapuas), (5 in Gunung Mas), (2 in South Barito), (8 in East Barito), (2 in Murung Raya), bringing the total to 53,396 people;

(3) There were 13 people decreased under treatment, so that it became 1,159 people;

(4) There was one case of death in Gunung Mas, bringing the total to 1,654 people, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 2.9%;

(5) From the vaccination target of 2,036,104, the realization of Dose I Vaccination for Central Kalimantan Province is 95.62% and all regencies/municipality have reached more than 70%. (set/transl.feb)
