Provincial Secretary Nuryakin Attends Work Meeting of Regional Legislative Affairs Agency of Regional Representative Council of The Republic of Indonesia
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Provincial Secretary Nuryakin attends the Work Meeting of the Regional Legislative Affairs Agency of the Regional Representative Council (BULD DPD RI) virtually via video teleconference, from the Bajakah meeting room, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya, on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.
This working meeting aims to obtain an overview of the enactment of Regional Regulations in the land sector and land issues in the regions.
When delivering a foreword, the Chair of the BULD DPD RI Pangeran Syarif Abdurrahman Bahasyim said that the need for a Regional Regulation to guarantee certainty of rights and protection of community land.
“Land has a strategic value, which if mismanaged will trigger complex and complicated social problems. It is hoped that the variety and complexity of land problems in the region can be avoided with the existence of a Regional Regulation that is able to guarantee rights and provide protection against land dispute cases,” said the Head of BULD DPD RI.
On the occasion, Provincial Secretary Nuryakin explained that the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government will plan a regional regulation related to land.
“Until now, Central Kalimantan does not yet have a regional regulation on agrarian reform, but there is a need for that regulation,” explained the Provincial Secretary.
Nuryakin said that regional regulations related to land must be in line with the interests of local communities.
“In our point of view, this regional regulation regarding land certainly does not conflict with central interests and regional interests and it can be accommodated,” he said.
Being present at the working meeting were the Governor’s Expert Staff for Social Affairs and Human Resources (HR) Suhaemi, the Head of the Housing, Settlement and Land Affairs Office Erlin Hardi and other related Regional Government Institutions Officials. (rik/ben/transl.feb)
